Long distance with my husband has not been easy, but it has been productive. While he is in New York building his career as a filmmaker, I am in Idaho focusing on the next steps for myself and for our family. We are both using this time to prepare for the life we want to create together.
For me, that means laying the groundwork to move to Portugal. My family is from there, but it is far enough back that I cannot get citizenship by descent. I will need to go through the residency process like anyone else. I am exploring different pathways, and the ones that make the most sense for me are the D7 or D8 visa. Both require a steady online income, which is a big reason I started this blog. I want to see what I can build and where it might lead.
Right now I am working full time as a nurse. I have looked into online nursing roles, but none of them feel like the right fit. I love nursing for the human connection, not for analytics or insurance work. I want a way to earn online that feels creative and meaningful and that supports the life I am building.
Life is about seizing the moment and enjoying it as it comes. I became a mom young, and at thirty seven with three almost grown kids, I feel like I have a lot of experience to draw from. That foundation gives me confidence to step into this next chapter with curiosity and courage.
This phase is about building. I am noticing what I have already created, and I am dreaming bigger for what comes next. Portugal is on the horizon. For now I am focused on growth, exploration, and creating opportunities that move me toward the life I imagine.
