Bom Dia Summer

Idaho roots, New York hustle, Portugal dreams.

Welcome

Right now, I’m still in Idaho, but change is coming. I’m waiting for our daughter to graduate in June 2027 before making the move to New York, where Jordan is already building his business as a filmmaker. In the meantime, I’m laying the foundation for my next chapter and planning for a future that eventually leads to Portugal.

Why Bom Dia Summer?

I chose the name because bom dia means “good morning” in Portuguese, and my name is Summer. To me, it’s a reminder to wake up to my own life and be present in it. I spent years putting everyone else first, as a nurse and a mom, and now I’m learning how to create a life that inspires me.

My Story

Idaho has been home, but it has also felt limiting at times. Becoming a mom young meant I had to grow up quickly and focus on responsibility before I could ever think about dreams. Now I’m in a place where I get to start choosing how I want to live, and that means chasing opportunity in New York and, later, creating a life surrounded by the beauty of Portugal. This blog is where I share the planning, the waiting, and the small steps that add up to a bigger future.

This is about building a life with intention and finally letting myself dream beyond what I thought was possible.
